Need Giant LaFree Part.

I just picked up a pair of LaFree bikes, one works real good, the other I found that the throttle position controller is shot. Anyone know where I can get one? Will other TPC's work?

Allright, so I attached the TPC with some dikes and a knife and got down to the connections on the Hall component, turns out to be a bad solder joint. I fixed and tested it and the bike's test program said it was OK. I then used some hot melt glue to secure it in place. Road tested the bike with no problems.

A couple of things I have learned:

This part of the forum is dead. I though there would be more interest in these bikes.

I found that fixing things, can be a lot faster, easier and of course cheaper (if you do not count your labor, whatever that is worth). I tried ordering the part, no luck there.
