alternative controller for crystalyte hub motors

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I sponsor a solar bike club at a highschool and need some advice. We have a 3-wheeled car similar to a recumbent bike. I'm thinking of putting a Crystalyte Pheonix brushless hub motor on it. I was wondering if there were other motor controllers that would work on this motor that would allow regenerative braking?

Thank you all for your help

Re: alternative controller for crystalyte hub motors

Kelly makes a brushless controller that is capable of regen.
See:

The Sevcon PMAC is another option, but more expensive.
