Help with electrical problem??

I have had my 450 Luyuan for 3 years now and have just changed batteries. I can't get the same diatance with the new ones that I used to get when my other ones were new. New batteries have been checked and they are ok. I do notice that when I connect the 48 volt fuse on the battery cable it sparks with the key turned off and the button on the handle bars in the off position. I belive that it must be a wiring fault. Has any one have a diagram for this system?? I'm a mechanic but would love a diagram before I start to take it apart. Also it's not right to get this saprk correct????

XB-600 v.s. EW-500 First E-bike help!

Hello everyone!

For the past few days I have been researching which electric bicycle I wanted to go with. I turn to the moped looking ones mainly for the seat space it gives you since I have yet to find a normal bicycle I could ride for an extended amount of time without and extended amount of butt-hurt. . . ow!

No power from battery

I bought a xb-700li about 4 months ago and it ran just fine for most of that time. One afternoon when I came home on it, I popped it up on the center stand and the electrical system shut off. I contacted tech support and sent the battery and charger back for testing. The charger was ok'd and the battery was replaced and both were sent back to me.

Charged and connected, the new battery hasn't changed the situation. I tested the battery myself, and it is good. I looked into the wiring, but I can't pinpoint the problem.

Xb 700li motor question?

Today I was riding my 700li and all of a sudden it lost the power to drive.. I stopped and I would turn the throttle and it would do like a putt putt type of thing but would not get going. It's almost like it's tryin to grab and go but it won't.. How would I know if the motor has broke down?

xb 600 replacement throttle

I bought two xb 600 replacement throttles from two different parts companys they had a red, white and black wire in a plastic clip . the wires from the bike side have a red black and green wire when connected to the new throttles nothing happens The tech support people at both parts co said just reverse the blk and red wire positins on the throttle leads Dtill nothing When I replace the damaged original throttle,[broken plstic part] the throttle works but only at 1/2 speed so i am assuming the problem is in fact in the throttle Any ideas?

Research: XB600 weight distribution

I just got out my bathroom scales and did some measurements:

Unladen weight: Rear 100 / Front 78 Lb Ratio 56/44 (not too bad)

Total weight is 178 lb. Reducing battery pack with Lithium will not dramatically reduce LADEN weight.

Rider sitting in forward position: Rear 210 / Front 125 Ratio 62/38 (hmmm...)

Rider sitting at rear of seat: Rear 235 / Front 100 Ratio 70/ 30 (this is why it is squirrely on loose surfaces!)

XB-610 Safe for rough weather?

I live in Oregon, which means it rains more often than it shines and occasionally we see snow that is poorly managed. I am planning to purchase the XB-610 model at the beginning of next month (woo student loans check!) and would like to know if it would fry if I rode it in the rain. I know the Lithium ones actually say waterproof, which leads me to wonder if it would be possible to weather-proof the 610, if it isn't already.

Also, on the topic of a (hopefully) fantastic purchase, would this seat a seven year old (50lbs) behind me (180lbs) very well?

How many miles on your scooter?

I put a bike odometer on my scooter right after I got it. This week I rolled over 9000 miles. I have replaced the tires, throttle, and voltage converter for the lights. Oh and of course the batteries a few times. I am glad I didn't go with a gas scooter! With any luck I will get 9K more out of it.
