Hey Guys,
First, let me explain the silence to date. I just found out about this minutes ago when I went to the site. I am in the shop working and have intentionally been staying offline so as to be more productive in the shop. My email boxes are slammed as always.
My digd.com email is working, but I have a HUGE backlog there and so my response time on that box is very slow.
We have voltage forum backups. I'll see what I can do to restore a previous version of the site in as little time as possible. I'll have to dig through the servers to do so. Right now, the database is trashed. I cannot even log into either the forum nor the admin areas. I created this account to put a message up.
I have not read much about the actions taken in my absence. I will do so shortly. I will also give several people the "keys to the store" so to speak so that this doesn't happen again.
So please spread the word that reconstruction is taking place and I'll work to get it back online asap.

Great. This will save a ton of work trying to repost the old posts in this forum's format. I assume there's been an update to the invision board that'll patch the security holes at least for a while. The only problem I see is going back to worrying about Chasb censoring me again :-)
And if we stay here, or if Ken wishes to move his invision board here, it's all good. But it sounds like another touchy-tough decision is on our horizon.

OK, I presume that means, the .com site may well continue after all. Anyone going to offer a bit of direction as to what happens next? I'm assuming that Ken has no idea of this .org forum at the moment.

Glad to hear you're back. Any chance you can ask the hosting company, provider or dns admin to take the old forum down?
If this board survives and you stay onboard as a moderator, you're undoubtedly going to learn over time that you just have to use your own judgement and call things as you see them. This is absolutely going to lead to disagreements, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone were to accuse you of 'censoring' them along the way too. It's almost inevitable. Our disagreement was basically a situation where each of us thought they were right. I have nothing against you personally, and can certainly leave that matter behind as an agreement to disagree.
What do you say that we take this opportunity to bury the hatchet and start out fresh regardless of what happens?

That's what I wanted to hear. Yes, I'll probably be accused of that too if a moderator, but it won't be for censoring what was/is essentially pointed satire and social commentary. At least it'll be for censoring something that has the potential to turn into a big problem, like spam. Reid-o's right too -- people here get too serious sometimes.
