fast scooter

hey guys,

i am looking for a scooter that goes about 30-35 mph and with a very long range. i would like the longest range possible. anything under 2500 is ok. it would be preferable if it was stock, and i didn't have to just buy a scooter and put after market stuff on it. thanks

Curry Scoot-E cuts on and off...?

I have an older 24vt Curry Scoot-E. I havent used it in years and am sure the batteries need to be replaced but the last time I did it would still cut out for a bit and then 10-30 seconds later would come back on. Then it would quit again and so on.

Maybe its overheating? Any ideas? I'd like to have some idea before I spend money on new batts.

Thanks!!!

Jim

Legal issues with small scoots

I'm thinking about getting something like a 400W Currie scooter. The only problem is that Florida law, as I read it, doesn't allow motorized scooters on streets or sidewalks. Here are the appropriate paragraphs from the statutes:

need throttle troubleshooting help

My scooter is a "boreem" type....freedom 959. Today, as I was riding I let off the throttle and was coasting and when I went back on the throttle there was little to no power...barely running the motor...and even when I don't turn the throttle there is some power to the motor.

Just perfect now1

I have to say that after a multitude of changes, fixes and tinkerings that have spanned 4 years, I finally have this little BladeZ the way I wanted it form the beginning. And, I have the forum to thank for it. It is now about 10% original, but isn't that what it's all about! I took it out for the first real test ride today and was blown away at the torque and acceleration...just what I wanted from this particular scooter. My big E(36)48 is faster and more refined for getting around, but this "Electrical Banana" is just for fun...and that it is.

Go Motorboard 2000XR NEW using A123

I have the old school x1500 and it worked well for a while but now they have released the 2000xr and is equipped with A123 batteries. Thing was already pretty light with the lead acids. I just wish they would loose the friction drive. Price is kind of crazy but you can check it out for your self:

Replace controller on my electric scooter?

I am a newbie, so would appreciate some advice. I have an X-900 scooter from: http://www.eastcoastwholesales.com/electric_scooters_x900.htm

Bought over a year back. Never worked. I just got around to putting on the workbench to take a looksee. I worked with the ebayer that sold me the thing for a bit, but life got extremely busy and I just didn't have time to follow through.
