Purchased 2 EV Global E-Bikes Used, now one battery won't charge up

For better or for worse, we acquired 2 EV Global 24v Ebikes earlier this summer. I am not much of a DIYer but I am willing to learn. One bike works fine, for now. The other worked for a while, but now the battery won't charge up. When plugged in the charger shows a green light and no fan comes on, but when inserted into the bike, only power for a brief second. From reading this forum, it sounds like my battery might be gone.

My solar bike

Hello, I want to acquaint you with my solar bike project.
The goal of my project is making a solarbike that at sunny summer days receives enough solar power to allow cycling longer distances and cycling hills with sufficient assistance. Instead of the common ebikes, which are heavy, de solarbike must be lightweight and sportive. It may not cost substantially more energy to drive the solarbike, when not powered, than a normal bike. When there is no sunlight or the batteries are empty the bike should still be light running.

Sanyo Eneloop

I just picked up one of these today at a shop going out of business (sort of) In any event, there was a $500 discount we couldn't pass up. Anyone else have one of these bikes? I've read wonderful things, but it would be nice to know someone with personal knowledge and experience. Whew! It's been a long time since I've visited here. I've been keeping up with Craig "Deafscooter" Uyeda and his numerous projects via Facebook, but that's about it.

Charger Electric Bicycle

I just purchased a very nice Charger Electric bike. It is in near mint condition. I am trying to get the electrics to work on this bike and noticed that it has a PIN code. I read on the forum that the factory reset is 1-1-1-1. I tried this and it did not work. I charged the battery pack for about 3 hours and the #4 LED lights up. When I remove it from power, the unit does a little light sequence thing. I pushed the #1 and it stayed lit for a moment and then shut down, and i could hear a small clicking noise. The bike itself is almost like new.

Is it ok to install an ON/OFF switch using the brake's kill switch circuitry?

Hi
I have an electric bicycle that I like to ride without the motor sometimes and with the motor for the hills etc. However the only way to do this is via an ON/OFF switch on the LiPO4 battery pack. Firstly this is difficult to reach while riding and secondly I loose power to the cycle computer and lights. I would like to install a switch on my handlebar that allows me to turn off the motor (and therefore pedal assist) easily.

eGo loosing power

Hi all,

Not sure how many of eGo owners are existing anymore but I anyway give it shot.

I owe eGo Helio, European model. Now recently I have 2 painful problems:

1. the power of the bike reduced somehow suddenly.

Solarbike

Using an electric bike instead of a car is the best way you can reduce
your fuel usage and increase your fitness. They're ideal for commutes
of up to 50km a day and ideal for people from 15 year old to 80 years
old and from 40kg to 120kg. Finding a really good electric bike
conversion kit for your bike can be difficult. We've done a lot of
research and testing and have a great simple systems at very fair
prices that we can send anywhere in the world - though we specialise
in Australia. We're also making some progress towards getting them all

Can you power an E-Bike using and AC to DC 36 Volt 450 watt 28 amp inverter ?

The basic idea I have is to use a small generator or my preference is to use a large deep cycle marine battery. Use an ac powered DC power supply/inverter is this possible or would you lose too much in the conversion process ? Use a 12 V DC deep cycle marine battery mounted in a bicycle trailer, connect a DC to AC inverter to power the power supply which takes 120 v AC to power it. Found one online 36V 28 amp under $200 bucks. The other idea is to use a small generator such as the Champion 1000 watt, and plug the power supply unit into it, would this work ?
