Removing battery from the PB-710

Help! How do I remove the battery from my bike to charge it? I can't find any manuals to even tell me where the battery is located.

How to control/activate regenerative braking?

I attend Ucsc and am currently working on my senior design project with five other engineers. We are building an electric bike and I purchased the Crystalyte 404 rear 16" hub motor. We are going to have a trailer attatched to the back of the bike to function as an electric push trailer. We want to include regenerative braking and run tests to see how effectively it will recharge the battery. To activate regenerative braking, we were going to use the motor acting as a generator.

Synergy Twin Shock -- batteries good but no dice...this ain't ovah.

I bought a Synergy Twin Shock with a 600w BMC off CL for $15! The batteries are good and show 24v but not a peep from the motor. It spins freely. The bike obviously sat outside for a while. The 4700mF capacitor that had been soldered on and shrink wrapped at the factory has been squished, so I bet that was the original reason for parking.

Is there an easy way to see if the motor can be repaired? What is the point of the capacitor?
Where is the controller? I understand it is in the motor housing. True?

The regenerative electric bike conversion kit, e-bike kit from BTN-china

We can suuppy the regenerative system on the e-bike kit, and can save 23%-30% power.

it is really a advanced system.

Old Condor E-Bike died, now i have a new Black Eagle E-bike!

My old Condor E-Bike I bought back in September 1, 2008 has finally failed permanently. The front left fork snapped in half and parts are not available. So I went to work and assembled a brand new Black Eagle E-Bike as a replacement.

http://mobilityunlimited.ca/eagle_specs.htm

I transferred my still useable batteries from my broken Condor to my new Black Eagle and rode it home. It looks identical to a X-Treme XB700LI and almost the same to the Volt Canada Dream Ryder. The only difference is the battery pack (AGM SLA vs Li-Ion). It rides very smoothly and has lots of torque and speed for a standard 500watt hub motor.

Hub Motor Kits

I'm looking to turn my recumbent Rans Rocket into an electric-assisted cycle for commuting purposes (extra speed on a stretch of narrow, hilly road, and help getting over a mountain ridge [500' worth of climb in last mile]). It is a short wheelbase recumbent with 2 20" wheels (406mm) with front and rear fairings to further reduce the coefficient of drag.

Question about installing a pas system

I just bought a 36v 500watt system for my wife's Schwinn trike. However, I failed to check if it had the pedelic system, which it didn't. Is there a pas unit that can be installed as an option?

EV Global 24-volt Ebike Problem

I just picked up a 24-volt EVG ebike that was missing the battery pack and charger (of course). I put together my own battery pack using 2 12-volt 12-ah SLA batteries and wired it directly to the ebike leads without going through the stock battery connection block. The voltage from the pack is reading 26.2 volts. When hooked up to the bike, the lights and horn work, but it beeps and the red light flashes indicating a low battery level. The hub motor, which I know is good, does not activate. Am I missing something here or is there something else not working properly - like the controller?
