Giant lafree

Hello everybody, i am new here and i need a little help with my electrical bike: a giant lafree.
I really want it to go faster but i have no idea how to do this. Do i need to buy new batteries of 48V or can I do by doing something with the batteries?
btw i think i have a 24 volt battery

Help me please
