This was a good experiment in community restructuring. Perhaps if/when the VV.com site becomes operational again we can move back to it. But once we do this experience has no doubt taught us a real lesson that we should pay attention to.
One that I think everybody is clear on - the administration, especially bug/security patching, cannot be left unmonitored.
Another to consider is how can we make sure the words we've written to each other can be recovered in case of infrastructure failure. I don't think Ken owns those words just as he doesn't own the community. It is "we" who are the community.
David you are spot on regarding the value of archives and all the effort to share knowledge not going down the crapper.
You are also to be commended for the initiative and quick action displayed.

I for one will continue to post here as long as you'll have me.
Who knows maybe I'll post duplicates when / if the old forum is cleaned up and made safe to use again.
Then my small contribution will have two chances at survival.
Assuming the VV.com site gets recreated in a cleaned up way with new administration policies, etc, I see no reason to continue VV.org/.net and intend to delete this board.
