After reading about this entry level bike, I decided to take the plunge. For those who are interested, the best place to buy appears to be Costco. Their price is $299.99 INCLUDING shipping ($80 everywhere else). Also, you can return any item back to your local Costco warehouse, rather than have to ship it back to Currie. You have to buy a Costco membership ($50) which we already had.

Yep. COSTCO's return policy is great.
Wal-mart is cheaper but to get free shipping, you must pick up at your nearest store. Walmart has a good return policy, too, but not like COSTCO. Please post a review of your experience.
Wal-Mart will ship free to the store, but only in selected locations. Here in Connecticut, they will not ship free to the store, so you have to pay shipping ($80 in the case of this bike). Costco's easy return policy sold me.
It arrived today. The front wheel is severely warped. Even worse, the connector on the battery pack arrived broken off inside. Do they inspect these things at all before they go out? This was not shipping damage, at least not from shipping from point to point in the US. I'll call Currie tomorrow. I am not optimistic. Does anyone know the type of connector on the power supply? It looks like this: |^| (the middle one is actually a - ). Thanks.

Are you talking about the Battery connectors for the Currie 12 Volt - 10 Amp Replacement Batteries
They probably use Male/Female Insulated Quick-Disconnects You'll also need a 4-Way Crimping Tool Or are you talking about the 24 Volt 10 Ah Plug & Play Battery Pack

I called Currietech. They are shipping out a new battery pack and front wheel. So, perhaps I will be on the road in a week. P.S. I was referring to the chassis plug for the charge and power cable, and not the connectors to the battery. These parts appear to be poorly made, so I suspect I'll need another one soon.
Hello riders, I am also looking for a budget electric bike and after some research found some great mongoose bike reviews but not sure if they are real or not. Can you help me with that please?
