Liberty Electric Mountain Bike

:) I bought a Liberty Electric 443 mountain bike with lead acid batteries two months ago and to this point I am very satisfied.

The bike is very well built, it has front and rear disc brakes . It has a Shimano 6 speed shifter. Nice suspension built into the bike to soften bumps. The 250 watt hub motor is under powered at times if you do not want to pedal at all. I ride this bike to work every day up a long very steep hill. With light to moderate pedaling I can go two-thirds of the way up in 3rd gear before I shift down to 2nd. On level ground the motor is sufficient. Has any one else have any experience with this bike?

That a nice looking bike!
Looks like you may be able to upgrade to the LiFePO4 pack later if you like.
It does sound a little underpowered, but I bet you get excellent range out of the system. As long as you don't have to traverse too many steep hills it sounds like a great way to get around.

Out of curiosity, do you know what controller it uses?

I didn't do any on-site searches for it, but you might give that a try if you haven't already.

I always love to hear about bikes that others are getting, keep us informed on how it does for you.

Thanks for the update, I really like what I see and hear about Liberty. Can you identify a mfg name or anything on it to give us a clue who mfg it. Does your owners Manuel give any clues?
I really like the LIBERTY EB-643 48 Volt, 25 Amp Town & Country Cruiser but I really need to break my addiction to E Scooters and look at E Bikes. I really like there 48v City Bike it's looks very practical for the City.

I was sort of waiting to get a update from you about there products.

I believe they may be mfg by Suzhou Small Antelope Electric Bicycle Co., Ltd there site states:

The company has its own 17 patent techologies, builds the first city e-bike,testing center, and has passed the ISO9001 quality certification, CE verification and FCC verification. It is the only enterprise owning the honor of state-grade key new product confered by National Economy Committee

The Liberty site states:

2001, 2002, 2003 Most Reliable Product in Suzhou City and 17 different patents awarded.

All there Product page images won't load properly, so I can't be positive.
Some time they will tell you who sells there products in the USA, then other times they won't give the name, just they are sold in the USA.

Peace Out,
Gman

Re: Liberty Electric Mountain Bike

I looked thru my paperwork and could not find a manufacturers name besides Liberty any where. The papers are vague to say the least. They show how to install fenders, wheel and other bolt-ons when bike is delivered. They tell you how to charge, safety before riding, and even a small parts break down for common parts. I looked at the contoller and found this information listed below.

Brushless 1:1 motor controller QC:
model wzkd3615ka-f-hd s/n
Changzhou Hongdu Electric CO, LTD

Hope this can be helpful in answering your questions.
