Change must occur in the transportation industry to save our environment for current and future drivers.

The cost of energy per year about $30 for our ZP2000. This is over 90% less than gas with no pollution and no noise.

With revolutionary technical advancements such as :silicone batteries, 2000 watt brushless motor and German engineered controller, our scooter goes faster(35mph) and further (40miles) than all before it.

We have much better performance than the 50cc gas scooters, with no pollution and save over 90%.

The fact is that electric scooters will have enormous growth in the world market.

Electric scooters in general are very "Green" and provide a good feeling to the consumer by helping our environment .Our ZP2000 is " Greener". The ZP 2000 provides the same good feeling, it also has great margins to dealers and distributers.

Our consumer has a "one of a kind "high performance, maintenance free machine for many years and our dealers and distributers have a product where they can earn good margins.

Why Electric?
Because it's Clean, it's Quiet, and it's economical!
At today's gas prices, even a 50cc scooter can cost hundreds of dollars per year to operate. Electric power eliminates the need for gas while being friendly to the environment.

What does it cost?

Seems like the scooter that use to be at Costco was a much better deal. Similar specs and only costs $1400. Google cache link: http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:9xh04Cee8Z4J:www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx%3FProdid%3D11122711%26whse%3DBC%26Ne%3D40000...

Just the e-max scooters

These are just the e-max scooters that were "about to be released" when e-max they went under - plus the "Kasea" scooter. Plan on them to have the same (non) relaibility as the e-max - but keeping them running and making improvements is a nice hobby. If you examine their web site -everything - even the useless owndrs manual, is the same as the e-max. They even lifted Larry's Maltz's folksy Texas-English verbatim for their description of the scooter.

This just goes to show that there was not a single brain cell of German design in the e-max - all Chinese, and the importer just slaps their logo on it. Sure is a lot of phoneyness and fraud behind "globalization"!

But these are a good bit more powerful but more expensive than the Costco scooter...

Eco-Glide LE

DanCar
;)

The Eco-Glide LE is a Chinese built 1500W electric motor scooter with a top speed of 30 mph. It is powered by two packs of 48 Volt 22 amp hour lead acid batteries. Range isn't quoted but expect around 15-20 miles. Stopping is accomplished by a combination of disk brakes on the front wheel and drum brakes on the rear wheel. Build quality isn't known at the moment but there is a warning that the scooter shouldn't be used in very hilly areas.
The Eco-Glide LE is currently being sold through Costco stores and retails for around $1400.

EMax rewarmed?

This press clipping set off a few alarm bells.

The specs and body design look at awful lot like an E-Max. "With revolutionary technical advancements such as :silicone batteries, 2000 watt brushless motor and German engineered controller." I'm not sure this is a bad thing, but the construction quality of E-Max aspired to mediocre. I know 5 people (mix of personally on online) and two of them were down for months waiting for batteries and one was down for at least two months waiting for a controller. A sample of 5 is small, but 3 failures within a year on 5 bikes is pretty bad nevertheless.

" NO 1 electric scooter in China" Nice brag and almost impossible to verify.

Why are about half the shots obviously and badly photoshopped?

"silicone batteries" I'm beginning to think this is Chinese for "horsehockey". Two years after these things started showing up in the States nobody has come up with anything to demonstrate these are anything other than lead acid batteries. Their performance is the same. Their weight is the same. Their reliability seems to be worse. Mine went south after a year of only moderate use and no abuse. My guess is that there is something slightly different about the chemistry, but I'd bet anyone that if you cracked one open you'd find lead and sulfuric acid.

I'm torn because I really like it when people consider going electric, but in all good conscience I think this ad deserves a large disclaimer.

My recommendation would be before buying make sure your dealer is going to stand behind the product. How can you tell? Ask them what replacement parts they have on hand. I would think batteries, controllers, and body panels would be a minimum. I'm serious as a heart attack about this. If they don't have replacement parts in stock and your bike breaks, your dealer is going to order from China. If by some miracle this actually works it will take months. Even if nothing breaks, the batteries are going to wear out. If your dealer doesn't have replacements right now why would they have them in a year? E-Max dealers were never able to stock replacement parts.
