Each year more and more people and families are walking and riding, not only for recreation but to
improve health. A panel of four professionals will lead a discussion on making communities more
bikeable and walkable during this Campaign for Balanced Growth's Metro East Eye Opener presentation.
You will learn how to look at a community and determine what can be done to make it bikeable/walkable.
Presenters will be Ann Mack, Executive Director, Trailnet; Dan Cross, Project Manager, Trailnet; Jim
Pona, Pona and Associates; and Julia Cole, GIS Coordinator, Southwestern Illinois Resource
Conservation and Development, Inc. The event will be held at the Collinsville Area Recreation District, 10
