etek bike

This may not be the fastest but it is fun. My 11 grader built this for a school shop project.
24V 400Amp 9600 Watts w/Etek motor all power. And about a 40~45mile range.

Re: etek bike

`sean,
Welcome to V is for Voltage, I just happen to run across you Son's project since I'm also planning on building my first E Bike.
It looks nice, how is it holding up?

Peace Out,

Re: etek bike

sean - your 11th grader rocks! Now tell him to stop doing something useful and start abusing drugs like the rest of his generation (oh, yeah and the generation before that, and the one before that)... ;)

Seriously - this looks like a great piece of work for a high-schooler. I know there are at least a couple of electric bike converters out there. You should encourage him to do a street bike conversion with a view to selling it (there's some great books about doing a conversion - let me know if you want me to post details - too lazy to look it up right now). Eventually we might be buying unique US built scooters by "son of Sean" rather than debating which Chinese factory is producing which electric scooter...
