Inquiring minds want to know ... did you chop a Lectra in half to make the rear end of this thing?

FWIW I happen to own a Lectra. In my case the motor has been replaced with a much beefier one, and will be driven with a 72volt alltrax.

Dave -

No cutting in half needed - after disconnecting the power leads between the motor and the controller, just had to unbolt the shocks and pull the swingarm pivot. The whole swingarm with the motor and complete drive system came off in one piece. Easy as anything.
I'm just welding some structure onto the gokart frame to mount the swingarm assembly to - I originally was going to have rear suspension but all my mounting designs for the shocks started making it look like a tow truck so I gave up. Besides - its a street kart that doesn't need suspension - most karts don't have any.

Thanks for the interest and stay tuned!
