Hi, I have been looking at this same model for a few weeks now and wondering if you would recommend it? Any pro's / con's on the Super Turbo?

Thanks,

Eileen

Hi Eileen, My scooter is almost 1yr old and it has about 50mi on it. The only problems I've encountered is the seemingly perpetual replacement of tire tubes(stone punctures)and the almost constant adjustment of chain tension. I ride of fairly hilly terrain, so it didn't take me long to wear out the rear brake pads. The overall build quality is hit-or-miss which is apparently typical of this scooter design. But the ST800E is certainly considered better equipped than many early "powerboard" versions. Overall, I'd say this is a SUPER fun recreational scooter...but not a practical commuter device.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the insight Bill. I don't plan on commuting with it, just nightly cruises with the family. We're not a mechanically inclined bunch so I'm looking for a decent low maintenance, high mileage, powerful scooter. I haven't seen much in the way of NEW scooters on the market in the last year or so which is surprising. If you, or anyone can recommend a good powerful, low maintenance scooter I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Eileen

My 11yr old daughter has a Currie Ezip 750, which is also a very nice scooter. It lacks the higher torque of the ST800E, but it's larger wheels/tires make it much safer for riding over uneven terrain.

Good Luck with your decision and I wish you many happy scootin' hours!!
