Vectrix LI -pictures

The vectrix lithium is finally here, in Barcelona.
I could have a glimpse of a police li unit. The body panels are being painted.

This is the famous gold Runke charger.

Now there are 4 temp sensors inside the battery, and one ambient sensor. Every value is displayed 2-3 seconds. In the picture it is Displayed temp sensor n. 3.

Very cool!

Now, quick, sneak in strip the bike of the rest of the bodywork and take lots more photos! ;-)

Re: Vectrix LI -pictures

I could have a look inside the battery. Pictures were not allowed.
There's a new 2nd fuse, that protects the battery. This fuse can be easely replaced (thanks godness!).
Instead of the two impellers, there's 4 small fans(computer 12v type). They're easy to buy and cheap to replace.
The motorcontroller is the same.
The Charger is the runke Type (gold), the same in the newer NIMH versions.

The battery has integrated BMS. It controls every cell. The BMS is always turned on. The battery suffers some depletion problems after 20 days without charge. weekly recharge is recomended.

To upgrade from NIMH versions.
If you have the runke charger (gold), you don't need to replace it. If you have the old one you'll need to upgrade the vectrix with the new runke.
The NIMH battery and he impellers will be completelly replaced.
In my opinion, an upgrade from vectrix seems really possible, the main question is: How much?;-)
