Debut of my Trek 7200 +

I just rode my Trek 7200 plus to the store (about a mile) for the first time today. For a 71 year old man it was very gratifying. With the gentle assistance of the motor I was able to take all the hills I could barely make with my old Trek Hybrid without breaking a sweat. That's great for me--a smooth, easy ride. I rode in the 8th and 10th gear using assistance levels 0, 1, 2, and 3.

One Bionx charger sez 36VDC the other says 42 VDC. Compatibility issues?

I picked up this Bionx charger online. It looks new, has the 4 prongs like mine, same model # (HP8204AC). However, the ouput for this new one is 34VDC/2A. Mine is 42VDC/2A. Should I be worried that it's not compatible with my battery pack? Thanks in advance.

Bionx system and mountain biking

HI
Does anyone out there use the bionx system for mountain biking? I am an experienced mountain biker but have developed a muscle disease and find it just beyond my capacity for "making" the tough sections. I am hoping only to use the 250 because it will fit my Santa Cruz superlite. But I am afraid that the 250 would be strong enough on the rocky sections...Please provide your experience.
Cheers KIM

climbing with 250 lite bionx on mountain bike trails

Hi All~

Has anyone ridden real mountain biking trails with the bionx systems? I am an experienced Mnt. biker, female 40sih- but have developed a muscle disease that is robbing me of my quad strength and am finding it harder and harder to ride up the single track mountain bike trials that I love- mostly cross country but with some steep rocky sections. I am looking at the 250 lite system - to keep it lite and because the 350 doesn't fit on my Santa Cruz super lite men's small frame.

Bionx Feedback

Looking to purchase a Bionx 350 XL kit which is the latest thing 48Volt and new design hub. I am looking for any comments from those who own the Bionx system now and what is your opinion of the system. Looking for comments on system such as battery life and reliability. I am 208 lbs and going to install on a Trek 7500 Hybrid. Any tips to get the most from the battery would be appreciated

Battery charger

I plug my charger in an connect it to the battery. The red and yellow lihgts come on. But the yellow light never changes to green. Also, I seem to remember that when I plug the charger in, it whines and vibrates. It does not do that now. Could someone let me know if the charger chould make a noise and vibrate. I hate to return it if it is not broken.

BionX VS XB 600

Hey guys. I know some of you are die hard bikers! I was on a city trail Sunday afternoon cruising along in my XB600. A group of cyclists ride by and one tells me to get off the trail. No. 1 the trail I was on was a city trial not a state bicycle trail. No. 2 the entrance did not have any clear no motor vehicle sign. My biggest argument I'm making is Bionx and XB bikes are the same thing pretty much. Consider the auto assist feature.

Small BionX Explosion

So, I've had my BionX PL-350 for 2 years and 4 months now (conveniently just outside the warranty window) and it's been working decently. About a year ago, I went to Japan for 5 months, and left it in the care of my parents. It mostly sat around while I was gone, I think it got ridden maybe once or twice. When I came back, I noticed that when the bike was assisting, the first three assist bars on the console were more dim than they used to be, and dimmer than the others. I tried adjusting the contrast, but nothing really had an effect.

would you feel you had been ripped-off if some shop sold you a 15 month old bionx kit as new

and the shop in question is supposed to be a high volume distributor of the products.

I understand the latest firmware is about v4.3 and that is quite recent, is that right (got the 'sindrive' mods?)

and the battery being 15 months old before I get it seems just totally unreasonable.

and traces of rust on the wheel bushes, and traces of rust on battery case nuts, looks ex demonstrator to me.

any views?

Please bare with me I am new to the forum and BionX repair.

I was given a BionX PL-350, I am pretty sure that is the model, roughly 2 years ago. I am disabled from a back surgery that went bad and a dear friend gave me this so I could ride with my son. It came with 2 batteries and some other accessories. It hasn't been used to awful much and I have not had any problems until 2 days ago.
