Elation E Bikes Owners Club

Well hey there are now at least 2 of us on here so why not :D

Here is a Picture i took this morning of my new Elation E Bike Conversion
The Conversion went well, but I cheated a little by going to the bike shop to get them to install some bling bits for me
sealed steel axle (didn't use the one in the kit) , alum pedals, shimano shifters and some road tires :jawdrop:

Click on the image for a larger version.

The Elation E Bike is available from www.elationebikes.com.au in case anyone is interested

im thinking about welding some highway pegs onto the forks and installing a bucket seat as well
i can see it now, pedal up to speed, hit the cruise control button, hands behind my head, feet up on the highway pegs and off we go to work :jawdrop:

Sign me up as a charter member. I'll ask Allan if he will give us permission to use the logo on our club T shirts. I probably won't be able to make a personal appearance at the meetings though so make me an associate member so I don't get fined.

Your conversion was quick compared to my drawn out adventure. Helps to use it on a rig it's designed for.

Maybe a set of BMX pegs and a banana seat with a tall padded sissy bar.

I really like the look of those skins. Are those 26 inchers ..... what brand/model ?

My Conti Town and Countries are lame and I can't decide on a replacement.

Nice job.

Allan says no problem using the logo and he would be glad to assist with that much of it.

Maybe even add a tab and page to his web site for pic's and chat.

I nominate zx12r for president. Do I have a second?

Re: Elation E Bikes Owners Club

for the benefit of anybody considering dealing with elation bikes, i would recommend they steer clear of the business all together, i had nothing but trouble (read deceit) dealing with alan.

just recently i was asked for advice from a friend on which system to buy for an electric powered bike, the friend also contacted other people he knew and alan's name popped up AGAIN (from one of his friends who had similar experiences to myself)

basically, bad service bad product and outright lies regarding any upfront money deals

avoid!
