I still don't have my Vectrix. What to do?
As some of you are aware I ordered the Vectrix and paid in full, including for the transport (I live in Slovenia, EU and the dealer is from Italy), on July the 18th. The dealer told me, that the bike and the documents usually arrive in 2-3 weeks.
Because I planned my summer holiday for the last 3 weeks of August I asked the dealer if the bike could be delivered in the first week of September (5 weeks from the day of the order). He told me, that it's no problem and I went to enjoy my holiday.
When I came back and phoned him, he told me, that the whole delivery of the bikes went to USA and that I have to wait a week. I said OK and waited for a week. Since he didn't call me in a week, I called him and asked him, what's going on.
He told me, that the bike is scheduled to arrive on 17. September. I said ok and waited until that date. I got no call from him so I called him again. He said, that the bike is on its way from Poland, that the truck left Poland on 16th and that it should arrive here today (September 19th). So I called him again today twice (for the time of arrival) and he says to me, that he doesn't know, where the bike is and that he doesn't have any information about the bike or the truck.
Is this the way Vectrix Co. operates? It's been 2 months since I paid in full and I have nothing.
I'm assuming you've called Vectrix offices for the EU?
Hope you paid with a Credit Card!

1. Not yet, but I intend to if the bike doesn't appear soon.
2. Because I got an Eco-Fund loan, the only option was, that they transferred all the money to the dealer. If it was up to me, I would have only paid 10% when ordered and the rest when delivered, but I didn't have that choice.
Since this is a Vectrix approved dealer (who they advertise on their Vectrix dealer list), I assumed and I still assume, that they are responsible for him.
Did anyone else experience late delivery or date of delivery being pushed back again and again?
When I placed my order, I was told within about 7-10 days.
Took four weeks in the end, and I got no communication.
Cut out the dealer and contact Vectrix directly.
When I bought mine it was present at the dealer store. So I merely did a test ride, then I signed some paperwork, paid for it and took it home. There was no waiting for weeks to be delivered.
I have now ridden on 6 different Vectrix scooters. I would never purchase one within riding it and several others. I know what to listen for in terms of a smooth engine noise. I don't want to get stuck on a Vectrix with the loud gears.
Also, I have ridden on one Vectrix that had slower acceleration. It did reach the maximum speed of 62 mph (100 kmh) but it struggled to get there. Every other Vectrix I have ridden does it easily.
A test ride is important to avoid the loud gear noise and to make sure that acceleration is normal.
Hi, I have same problems. Made a testride, ordered it, after the Dealer said that it will be delivered in about 3 weeks.
It will be delivered next monday, after 4 calls. They have problems with manifacturing it in time, because of an big deal with a company in Spain.
Sorry for my bad language - i´m from Austria ;)

Good news everyone :-)
My bike has arrived and I will be picking it up tommorow :D
I'll post some pictures.
Great!
Hope it's in good nick, you have waited long enough!

Excellent Andy, all the trouble you've had up 'til now will all be forgotten the moment you twist the grip on your ride home!! :)
Simon.
Very nice! Congratulations, AndY1!
Don't boast anout your 10% discount. If the bike is stolen and the device isn;t fitted, what doea your excess go up by - I bet it won;t be 10%! One quote I had increased the excess from £250 to £1000! Another refused to cover the bike if the lock wasn;t fitted immediately 'when the wheels stop turning'.
How is it going?
If I had a new Vectrix I would NOT try to do deep discharges early on.
I would ride it a little bit at a time, only until the battery display is down to 15/17th. (About 5 to 10km.)
That would allow it to go into CP charging mode for a short time when plugged in, followed by an hour or so of CC charging and 59min of EC charging.
That would allow any low-charge cells to gradually catch up, whilst the fuller ones would heat up only a little bit.
I'd do that a few times and gradually increase the range. Each time I'd recharge fully including the trickle charging modes as above.
I would try to reach a power point (and use it!) at the same moment that a slight performance reduction is first noticeable (stay very close to home in other words).
Once the distance at which a slight performance reduction is noticeable does not increase any longer between recharges, I would start the first "deep discharge cycle".
This is all geared towards equalising the 102 NiMH cells' charge state, before risking reverse charging of a cell in the string that might have self-discharged quicker than the others for some reason.
because the price was lowered to around 8000 us dollars and the sure in gas prices the demand is very high for the vectrix.vectrix personal said" it like the wild wild west gold rush" i am factory trained and i can assure you it is a good company. having been there, and talking to the founders.we are also a dealer.
Hello
I'm on the hot seat now. Bike was paid, insured and registered three weeks ago, and as of today 5 October at 13.23pm I still have no idea when it's going to be delivered.
I wouldn't mind the wait so much if I had a date to look forward to, also it's costing me £41 a week in public transport!
Contacted Vectrix a couple of time and the lady is always very polite and friendly, BUT, I'm getting restless.
