will you buy BMS from battery supplier or from BMS manufacturer

BMS is an important part of li-battery system.
if you choose a good BMS,the lifespan of your batteries can be prolonged.
a good BMS is just like a safe guard who can help you avoid a lot troubles and danger.

24v dc bike controller assistance

I have an electric bike (Merida 550) that is likely in need of a new control system-- the stock controller included a pedal sensor that kicked the motor in as needed instead of by throttle-- does anybody know if such a system is currently available?

I should be able to hook up a new system, but after a look around the web, I realized I have no idea exactly what I am looking for or where to look-- 24dc, 350 watt motor, 15ah battery-- any guidance is appreciated.

Need help wiring motor to controller

Hello

I'm actually not an electric vehicle enthusiast but I found this forum searching for information for my specific "problem" and thought that it may be a good idea to register and just ask.

Help Building own controller?

Becaue Im running my 24v motor off my solar powered 45v Ultracaps I need a special controller (rather than using my 48v one at half throttle when the caps r full)

What I need is a controller that will take the input voltage (whether that be 45,40, 30 or 25 etc) and only deliver a maxium of 24volts say, out.

Getting it right (forward or reverse)

Hello, today I got my e-bikes 40amp controller and tried connecting it to a 1.4kw hub motor - this is to replace the 0.6kw motor on my scooter for a power-up. All the wire colours matched and it ran first time but I noticed the wiring got very hot, ie too hot to hold on to! This was after running at full power for more than about 10 seconds. Speed also seemed slow

Thermal shutdown in Alltrax controller?

I've had this happen a couple times now and am curious over y'all's thoughts. In my VW Karman Ghia sometimes it get into a mode where it's literally crawling. The battery voltage reads ~ 72 volts, and the amps read very low (say, 30A). Each time it's happened after a few miles of modestly hard driving.

I need a controller for a common grocery store martcart

I have a couple of Martcarts of the type that are used at Walmart. In fact, they came from Walmart. They are equipped with a 12 Volt DC, 60 Watts brushless hubmotor for locomotion. I am getting no output to the hubmotor and I can make the hubmotor turn if I wire it directly. The Martcart goes forward and backward and the brake is internal in the hubmotor (when power is cut to the hubmotor, it brakes)

The cart seems simple. Does anyone have any recommendation as to a cheap controller that will work.

Contactor vs SCR

Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on an electric motorcycle with a 72v pack and was wondering if there are any benefits of using an SCR or high power Thyristor over a contactor as the primary switch that turns the power system on. The only negative thing about SCR's ive come across is that they tend to fail closed while an electromechanical switch fails open. I don't see this as being much of a problem as long as there's a fuse in line with it. Has anyone else used an SCR in their EV?
