Hi all - I am brand new to this place, so sorry if I ask an obvious question ....
You can see a jumbo A123 battery in this picture. It appears to be about 35mm x 230 mm.
Since the above link requires free registration, below is a copy of the picture:
Is this a single cell and what are its ratings? Is this the largest single cell by A123?
thanks to all
Cool! They're getting ready to make automotive size batteries ... e.g. they are merging with HyMotion and entering the market to produce PHEV conversion kits ... it would be best to use larger cells for such packs, right?

The guy at far right is the A123 CEO Mr. David Vieau, the rest are mostly the inventors..
Now watch his rather upbeat and one might say assertive testimony before Congress just a few weeks ago. In the same panel were:
-Mark Chernoby, Vice President, advanced Vehicle Engineering, DaimlerChrysler Corp.
(from the Chrysler side of things)
- Dr. Walter McManus, Univ. of Michigan, Transportation Research Institute
- Phillip Baxley, President, Shell Hydrogen
- Martin Eberhard, CEO Tesla Motors
If you want to go directly to A123/Mr. Vieau segment, fastforward to the timestamp at cca 13:50sec

He is showing the same monster battery, I hope it's at least 40Ah, so it could be used high voltage system where the cells could be smaller!
