3000W rider styles electric motorcycles ?

3000W rider styles electric motorcycles
pre_GC00900839.jpg

This is the first rider style electric motorcycles with top speed 80km/H.Cooler,stable and flash....

80 kilometer/hour = 49.709 695 379 mile/hour

pre_GC01609453.jpg

In China, only E-max and my factory have experience of hundreds pcs bulk production. This is very important for on road vehicle production. Many Chinese factories start sample order only and this is a crisis for big order.

Re: 3000W rider styles electric motorcycles ?

A Korean company has had something similiar on their website for years:
http://www.covco.co.kr/home/product_5.html

They seem to have a running prototype in the video but I wasn't able to find out if they are actually building it: they don't respond to emails, and their site never really changes.

I'd love to be able to buy some EU-homologated Harley-Retro style electric motorcycle here in Germany with 80+km/h top speed and decent range... I hope I'm not too old to ride it, if that ever happens :( .

Regards, Skarrin

Re: 3000W rider styles electric motorcycles ?

ZAP had the opportunity to maintain momentum on the Lectra VR24, but didnt. Now they are gonna try to piggyback off of the successes of smaller companies like Electricmotorsport or the Killacycle's great speed runs. Why because they see the winds changing? Good luck to them. It's a shame that they had something that could have grown into a powerful niche when quite a few ppl went running to buy gas scooters, but- hey- they wanted to focus on their four wheels.

Well I spent some time this morning chatting with a friend in China that's in the business.
Mountain Chen, has no Factory, the pictures are just stock pictures. So China Erato Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Co.Ltd is not a Factory?
There was also this statement:

Our scooter are hot sale in USA www.greenemotor.com and www.x-tremescooters.com, www.electier.com , http://www.evworld.co.nz/products/new-products/ ...etc. San francisco,Soul,Newzealand are the most steep road city in the world where accept our scooter have proved the best Torque of our motor.

He is also no longer with Zap.

I suppose the first things to ask are "Where can I get one?" and "How much do they cost?" and of course, "What are the specs on them?". How about that to start?

Sorry guys, I added Mountain Chen to my IM, and he clicked me. I tried to ask what I could quickly remember.
He was so fast and then he was gone, this is his part of the conversation. He also sent me a quote, but I'm having problems with my Excel

where is your country ?
ok,our scooter is street legal
As we know,The World pioneer www.evt.com.tw from Taiwan keeps the biggest market share in field of electric motorcycles.

We finally got the dymo test report of EVT brushed motor, see attached excel file, its peak efficieny is 88% and peak torque is only 80Nm at 143A current.

Come back to our Erato motor curve, the JPEG file.....

Our peak efficiency is 95%, and the platform 80% up start from speed
Only professional manufacturers can provide this dymo testing for each motors. Other chinese factories just buy commond motor from market and choose another cheap controller to
fit the motor, but actually they are not matching at all. Unprofessional buyer who just look into price would meet big risk !
Our scooter could be found on YAHOO news.... see http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/070531/0259800.html
I should go now, talk with you later
bye
in 2 hour
bye
bye
3000W is same specification as 2500W,the only difference is 3000W use Lihitum batter release more power

I promise to do better next time, he caught me off guard.

BTW, welcome to the V is for Voltage Community.
To follow up on my chat with Mountain Chen, I don't know if your familiar with the Zap Zapino or not. and there relationship with Mountain Chen. As you saw, he was there Quality Control Manager in China.
The specs on the 3000W Lithium Power, as he calls it, are the same as the ERATO-04 2500W but it's 3000 watts, and has 40AH 60Volt LFP Lithium Batteries.
This is his 2000w Lfp Lithium Power Scooter Battery compartment.
2000w_Lfp_Lithium_Power_Scooter.jpg
The shifting mechanism was weak on the 2000 watt 2006 models, which makes up most of what is currently being sold here. He said the new 2007 models have a much better shifting mechanism.
The ERATO Company Profile states:

All our 2000W60V scooter have been update to be 2500W60V automatical motor (no button needed),it is more powerful and bigger torque with rear/front disc brake....

New technology Nanometer high capacity battery will bring a revolution in field of EV,it is lighter than Lithium battery and more stable,no burn,no explode,1200 life cycle and 20minutes quick charged.

18 months of bulk production experience in field of ON ROAD electric motorcycles ensure of our reliable quality and good after sale service. Worldwide viewing, only EVT and E-max have such experience of hundreds pcs bulk prodution ! Other chinese factory only have sample experience....take care if you want to buy cheap scooters.

FWIW, another friend in China who is also in the business, personally knows Mountain Chen, and said he actually has no Factory, and just uses stock pictures on his site.
ZAPINO orders the 2500
watt model monthly, and sample 3000
watt models. There are several others that sell his products here also, but for business reasons he didn't disclose there names. Zap only came up after I told him about the article about him being hired by them. Latter Green E-Motors also came up as there current 2006 models having the same weak mechanism.
We were trying to set up a way for me to see and evaluate the 3000 Watt Lithium Power, and he keep asking were I was from. Missouri didn't register, St. Louis Missouri didn't register, finally I said the Arch, and then he said ok your in the middle of the USA. That's when he mentioned Zapino, so I assume they are the only or closest to the Arch that has samples of the 3000 Watt Lithium Power
He also gave me a quote on a sample shipment, and also the Lithium Power contains 40AH 60Volt LFP Lithium Batteries FOB Xiamen
china.gif
So the bottom line is, they are already here under various different names, and probably the only difference would be the Customer Service part between the various Vendors.

BTW, I also located several other 3000 watt, one is says it's made for the European market and USA market:

Next step we will produce 72v high power motor up to 10000w
And the speed will be 100km/h
Controller pwm 4000w
Horsepower:3000w /755 rpm
Max 4000w
Charger 85% in 4hroutput: 55v/9amps/500w 55v/5a in 8 hours
Txs type direct drive
Gear ratio 1:1
Battery sealed lead acid or silicone battery
15 kg x 4 units: 12v/40ah /50ah
Or
Lithium battery 48v /30ah/40ah/50ah this is very light weight
This is very long range ,because it is very light weight

A 72v high power motor up to 10000w made for the European and USA market is long over do, and probably worth doing some additional research on. It will probably give Vectrix some initial competition, and may blow the much delayed EVT Z-20 out of the water.

I'm still trying to identify the new E Motorcycle that's suppose to be shipping to New York that I heard about.

Re: 3000W rider styles electric motorcycles ?

Good work Gman! That's a lot of information you gathered.

Personally, I think the Z-20 is just going to be the 2500 watt version with the new shifting mechanism that you mentioned. They're going to do what X-treme and GreenEMotors and all the rest do and buy the same scooters from the same company, maybe change the seat, put a nice logo and paint job in their colors, and sell them for what they can get.

The similarities from all these companies and their scooters is just too close. I bet they are all the same.

And that may explain why the X-treme XM-2000 is selling for $1500 with free shipping. Maybe they're trying to clear out the inventory for the new stuff. My XM-2000 is due to arrive this upcoming Monday. It's a good price, but we'll see what I get for it, hahaha...

The Z-20 will probably be made in Taiwan, since there EV 4000 and EV 168 I believe are also made there. Mountain Chen mentions Taiwan as dominating that market for years, and how they just beat them on something, I still haven't open the document due to my excel problem.
I've heard Taiwan's quality is much better than China's.
I read a article sometime ago were the Ego's made in Taiwan, were planning to move to China. They gave a example of cost per hour, and there was a very big difference. Also most of there suppliers were moving to China. Shortly after that Ego changed ownership.
There cost in Taiwan was $5.00 a hour, in China 60 cents a hour. eGO CYCLE THE STORY OF AN IDEA FOURTH OF A 4-DAY SERIES

An idea that outgrew Alabama prospers in the world's bike capital, but the lure of cheap labor may draw it to mainland China. And back in Fairhope, an inventor is toying with a new idea.

If they can purchase a E Bike in China for several hundred dollars, the market for larger E Motorcycles is probably in Europe where the price of Gasoline is much higher than it is here, and they are more roads are more EV friendly I believe. They are also more environmental friendly than we are here, maybe that will change next election.
Vectrix launched in Europe first for some of the same reasons. (For some reason there site is having problems.) Maybe ----- :?
The cache states:

Vectrix UK Launch
Vectrix is delighted to announce the UK launch of the Maxi-Scooter!

I saw a pbs show where they were interviewing several Government officials from several countries, I don't remember who said they were loosing business to China, then China said they were loosing business to another country that was in the discussion. I'll have to try and find it, but I believe Taiwan was loosing business to China, and China was loosing business to India.
Well we are really getting off topic, so probably need to close out this thread.
I did get another IM from him, but I missed it writing that other long post.

If anyone is interested PM or email me, I need to give him a quantity for a new quote, and I need to know where it has to be shipped to.

Re: 3000W rider styles electric motorcycles ?

There have been several questions that I will try and get answers for. I do know he said it's the same as the 2500 watt Cowboy, just with 3000 watts and different batteries. The 2000 watt with the weak shift like the XM-2000 and Green E are ho longer mfg, the new ones are 2500 watt and better shifting. This also seems to be a old 2000w with a similar body style.
From the IM again, range 140km, speed 70km/H, 40AH60V LFP lithim battery, FOB Xiamen, Lithum is 3-5 times life cycle and 20kgs lighter on weight than silicon battery, yes, silicon battery is same as E-Max but they use 20AH 8pcs, we use 38AH5pcs bigger capacity and better life cycles to bear bigger current. That's all I know and whats post above.
Zapino has the only sample that I know off in the USA, so these would be additional samples.

Because this is a new item, and they need to set up castings, they don't want to start until they have a Container order of 46 pcs, and FWIW the shipping cost to LA port is $3000.
Don't know what happen between Wednesday, 06/20/2007 and now. I assume Zapino didn't bite.
