Thermistors as Vectrix Inrush Current Limiter?

Wikipedia has a page on ICLs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inrush_current_limiter

An inrush current limiter is a component used to limit inrush current. Negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors and fixed resistors are often used for this. Less often, other components are also used.

The inrush current limiter is placed in series with the circuit whose inrush current needs to be limited.

Light Globe as Inrush Current Limiter for Vectrix VX1?

Could a light globe be used as the resistor in the Inrush Current Limiter (ICL)?

The circle with "40W" written in it represents a 240V, 40W incandescent light bulb.

Vectux ICL initial version - not quite good enough....

This is a diagram of the ICL which I used for reconnecting the battery in the Vectux after the two motor controller repairs, for the fuse replacement following them, and for the reconnecton of the batteries after the battery rework and M-BMS installation:

Vectrix Inrush Current Limiter (ICL)

An Inrush Current Limiter (ICL) is an essential piece of equipment used to pre-charge the components on the Vectrix VX1 Motor Controller Board each time when batteries are connected again (after service or repairs to batteries or motor controller board).

Incorrect use of an ICL and unsuitable ICL designs will probably damage the main fuse.
The fuse can then suddenly fail during normal vehicle operation at some time in the future.
