This is my 1st homemade bicycle.
I made this bicycle so that I would have a suitable entry level platform to learn and grow on eg, differant batteries, motors ect.
the frame is 19mm chrome-moly tube 1.2mm wall...frame and swingarm weigh 5.8kg...140mm travel bomber front suspension, manitou 4way rear shock.
400w hub motor with 48v-12a 16 cell headway pack.
motor Gear Ratio: 60:9 (6.67) to 10 tooth sprocket to( #420) chain to 32 tooth sprocket to 26 inch wheel...
Heater:
Sun, but I could use a 12 volt hair dryer.
Lighting:
(12 volt) 20 led desk lamp in front and 3 led in back
Location:
San Francisco, CA
Method for 12v system:
(8) 1.5 volt lithium cells run in series to create 12 volts
Miles as an EV:
100
Motor:
600W 36 volt GEARED Motor (Unite) (overvolted to 48volts to create 864 watts)
Number of wheels:
2
Top speed:
25mph (0 to 25 in around 4 seconds) lots and lots of torque through all the gear reduction at the cost of speed, but thats the point! It needs to climb SF HILLS!
Typical range:
I have only gone 5 miles at a time so far but It should have a range of 10 to 12 miles.
