I have a 3.3 mile route that I took my Z-20a on four times in a row. I only stopped to check and write down battery voltage, which took about 3 minutes each time. The scooter’s kick stand switch is bypassed and I am using bank charging. The route has 6 stops which I took 5 lefts and 1 right. The whole route is over soft rolling hills. This means they are not steep hills but none of the route was flat. I was wide open throttle almost all the way (speedometer read between 45 and 50 mph, but not sure actual). I am 5’5’’ and 165 pounds. Here are my results so far.

Hey guys
Just curious if you guys would still recommend the r-20, being that it has had some problems.
Thanks

Can anybody try to help me found out a problem with my R-20. It ran fine for the first 37 kilometers. Then when it was charged for 5 hours the next day I went to use it and the throttle had no response. Eventhough I had lights, horn directional signal all working. When it was charging key was not in ignition and circuit breaker was off. I looked at the side kick stand as a potential problem but could not see anything wrong with it as it pertained to it's previous position when the scooter was working.

Has anyone actually fixed their Speedometer? It would seem that you can do it one of two ways, fix it mechanically or get the proper sized tire on the front (assuming USAtracy is right).
Fixing this is way low on the life priority list at the moment, but nevertheless I would love to know if anyone who has an actual Z-20 has figured this one out. Also, if someone wants to ask Andy the question on how to fix it that would be super too.
I'm thinking about just taking my bike to a scooter shop and having them work it out.

We just received our Z-20b on Monday night, and have been enjoying catching up on the discussions in this forum to get a sense of what we have gotten ourselves into!
Too snowy currently here in Michigan to get the scooter on the road, but we'll see how things go once the roads are cleared off...
Just out of curiosity -- any sense of how many total Z20/R20's have been sold/shipped?

I just got my Z20b yesterday, did a short test to make sure everything was working, then brought it inside where it’s warm and took off most of the covers.
I have the following goals with this tear down:

The "your scooter has shipped" email was received tonight, Sumner Washington is 30 miles away, I have a shipping number and expect a call for delivery tomorrow or the next day.
I will need a new helmet.
I will post my unpacking and tests here as they happen.

Could someone tell me how to remove the front cover of the Z-20a?
