Below are photos of where I relocated the speed limiter switch on my 2008 Zapino. I wanted to be able to easily get to the switch to change the setting so I notched out the black plastic piece near the left fender and glued the switch in. The original location behind the panel near the floorboard made it difficult to change the switch setting when needed to extend range. I really liked the location of the switch on the 2007 model on the handlebars.
I just bought a 2008 Zapino and wanted to know where to find the speed limiter switch. Someone told me on the floor board where you put your feet, but when i opened it up it was a small DC box.

The speed limiter switch is located behind the removable panel below the seat. I don't mean under the seat. When sitting on the scooter look down and you will see a removable panel between your legs. There is one screw to remove, and the panel comes off. Once you remove it you should find the switch in there.

I repositioned mine to inside the storage box, near the circuit breaker.

Does anyone have experience with the switch in "0" all the time? How much does it effect mileage? Being new to the scooter, I guess I don't see the point in changing it often yet....
Is this a 2-position switch, or three?
If two, it has a "I" and a "II" setting, with no "0" setting.
If three, there is an added center-off "0" setting.
Are there two, or 3 wires connected?
If only two, the switch likely has only two functional settings: an "unlimited" (or "full function" or "fast") mode and an "economy" (or "limited" or "slow") mode.
On my 5000Li, there is a 2-position rocker switch with only a "1" and a "0" on it. The "1" is "ON" for the Economy Mode.

On my 2008 Zapino, there is a two position switch. Setting "I" is the unlimited position, and setting "II" is the limited position.
