Miraculous Battery Rebuild

I recently posted about my BionX battery being bricked. We began to take it apart which is no easy task. Suddenly we began to hearing alarm calls coming from the battery, the same kind of calls you get from a discharged cell phone. I plugged the charger in this morning and it is now charging. I think our efforts to open the case must have released a short. Let's see what happens now before I reseal the case. We did minimal damage to the shell.

Dead Batter

I think my battery got frozen because of the cold. It was kept in an unheated garage with temps in the 20sF for a month. Now it doesn't take a charge. I have a Trek Ride Plus. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really need help. I'm a senior on a limited budget and the bike is my main transportation around town.

help, cyclone-tw "CY-2500F-11.5" experience?

Hello there fellow enthusiasts!
i was wondering if anyone has some experience with this folding electric bike from cyclone-tw.com
http://www.cyclone-tw.com/order-ebikes.htm
the bike name is "CY-2500F-11.5" on this page I posted. but the thing is I cant find any reviews or more info about these folding bikes.
is it worth it? is it as powerfull as they say it is? any pointers would be really apreciated for a amature/beginner like me :)

cheers from Iceland

Davinci Euro hi/low power switch question

Hello. Finally junked my Kaishan (although saved the battery as it is new, to maybe sell later). I replaced it with an year old Davinci Euro, whih is a much better e-Bike, but it seems it has a hi-lo power switch same as the other bike. Only one setting works though.. the "0".. The "I":, which is the flip-up setting, cuts all power to the bike. Clearly the shop has no idea as they spent a whole day trying to fix the bike before discovering the switch.. so I ask here.. Which is the "high power" setting..

XB-3XXLi

I have been reading about various types of battery-powered bikes for about 5 years ago on "V". Initially I looked at motorbikes and scooters while they transitioned from lead acid to Li-ion batteries, but I recently went with an e-bike that retians a bit of exercise (XB-310Li, which is the folding version of this series). I posted my considerations and first experiences in blog that may be useful for other novices (link below). I've replaced some (cheap) parts and have had no problems after 2-3x/week of use (9 mi/trip).

E-Bikes Going Up Hill a

Has there been a major improvement in the hill-climbing ability of e-bikes over the last 2 years? I dream of getting a throttled e-bike but I live in a hilly area and I wonder if it would be useless.
