Some Battery Capacity Measurements (BL36)

I finished my BL36 conversion project and it came out quite nicely. Took it to work 12 miles round trip a few times (300 feet altitude difference) with no problems. However on my first day the juice ran out with full throttle (20-28 mph) all the time. With a more moderate speed no problem.

How about a discussion on the value for the dollar about these bikes .

Ezip/Izip Trailz conversion

I am thinking of buying an Ezip Trailz and running a Ping LIPO4 36 volt 20 amp battery. Do I have to do any part replacement and will it work ok? What is the downside ?

How will the range\speed compare with Wildnerness Energy using the same battery ?
what are my other relatively low-cost options ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

over power a hub motor...

does anybody know for sure what would happen if I got a larger controller and put 36 volts into a 24 volt hub motor.

eBIKE battery recharging

Hi All,
Having recently purchased a Powa Cycle, model Salisbury, I have been thinking about how I could use the motion of the cycle to re-charge the battery. I was wondering if a dynamo of the type used for lighting sets could be utilised. The battery on my eBIKE is a 27v lithium.
I have very little electronics knowledge,

Hi Gang! Brand new Powercycle 550 owner here. :]

:)

Hiya everyone!

It's nice to meet everyone. I'm Andrew. A 28 year old guy from South Bend (Home of Notre Dame Football!) / Mishawaka Indiana. I just recently got my hands on a brand spanking new never before used EV Powercycle 550. While the bike has never been used before the battery is having some issues as it won't charge completely and entirely (from what I can tell), but it still works wonderfully. I bought two bags for it, a hefty lock, and a very nice helmet to go with it.

Bike Comparable to XTreme XB-500

I was considering buying an XB-500, but thanks to the advice of the members of this forum, I have decided against it. Can anyone recommend a comparable vehicle? Electric powered, and pedals are a must. It will be driven approx. 5mi / day.

Thanks in advance.

brake lever wiring to cut power - 3 wires... witch one to connect where?

My Wisper 905se e-bike has three wires coming out from the (left) brake lever switch: red, black and green. I replaced the original v-brake for a hydraulic rim brake and want to attach a micro switch to cut off engine power. If only... I would know where the 3(!) wires are for. (BTW the original switch was not working, so there was not much to measure)
At the moment the wires are hanging loose and the engine is running fine, so standard setting looks like normally open for all three wires.
