Hello all, Would anyone know where I could find a diagram for wiring an external controller into the kollmorgen 400w motor? I have gutted the internal controller from the motor. I know about the three phase wires but am not sure about sensor wires. I e-mailed ecrazyman about getting a controller but has not got back to me yet. At onetime I was trying to contact Bob Mcree but never could figure out how. Any help would be very much apriciated.

I just put two new 12V SLAs in the Iacocca mini-ebike- been riding it for the past couple of years without using batteries, just the bike like a normal bike.
Checked power at the battery case teminals, good.. 26V... flip battery case switch 'on', turn 'on' switch on handlebar controller, the LEDS should light up- no lights... nothing, no indication of power there.
Connectors in battery compartment are spring loaded and are ok.
Took the handlebar controller apart, as the on/off 'switch' feels sorta 'gritty'- but the switch works fine electrically. All 'looks' Ok.

Hello!
I've been following the posts on this website for a little while now (its a brilliant source of learning for me) and am just about ready to finally make a move to buy a conversion kit for my 700c bike! Its difficult to source one here from the republic of Ireland, but this one is available from the UK... so I would be grateful for any opinions! This kit is from Alien Bikes (who have a really good reputation!), how does it compare with regard to value for money.
its £419 English pounds or about 638 Dollars

Just came across this so all I have to go by is the video. It is an intriguing idea but I don't think I would like this design.
It appears to be a pedelec design - no throttle, so therefore the system has to be detecting when you pedal and adds power to your pedaling.
The conversion kit costs $2,500 and is only 200 watts. Yup, you read that right.

Hello All Ebike Gurus! How much power do you think it takes for you to go from San Francisco to San Jose in California? The reason I asked is because we have a group of people interested to doing long ride in the Bay Area. Let say if you + the ebike + the battery weight = 300 LBS, and the trip is 70 miles 1 way and your battery is 48V, and your average speed is 20 MPH, on flat + typical wind resistance on a sunny day, then how much aH (amp hour) of the battery power do you need? I appreciate everyone help & input. :)

hello again!.... i've got my bike working with throttle and controller but it intermittantly cuts to less than half speed.. I am suspicious that the controller is responsible (coz it's so cheap) is it doing this to stop the motor getting too hot or is the controller just dodgy?? would a controller with more amps be better (i've got 250W 30A controller) hmm problem still occurs when cold... what controller options are there for a 250W motor? can I use a 500W controller (as I hope to upgrade the motor at some point)? any ideas gratefully perused..

I'm looking for an ebike and have all but settled on a Greenline EB-8624. Best price so far is US$838 delivered to NJ from jazzygearsports.com
Anyone have familiarity with this Bike,Manufacturer or seller? I want to use it to commute 2 1/2 miles so it should be powerful enough to move my 5'6", 150# self up a pretty steep local hill.
Frankly, the battery discussions on this and other forums have me bewildered.
Any input would be appreciated,
thanks,
danagos

Dear Volt,
I have been the not so proud owner of the new 2009 Bionx PL350 for a little over a week now. I chose to purchase the Bionx after riding a friends (pre 2009) PL350. However, the 2009 model, after taking three months to arrive, is sadly lacking in a number of ways.
Firstly, the 32 km/s (20 MPH) speed limit can not be deactivated - this is somewhat of a grey I realize area for legal reasons, although everybody does it.
