Is my EV Global 24V controller bad?

I bought an Ev global 24v Ebike in non-running condition that I am trying to fix. I am suspecting the controller is bad, but maybe it's not. I am looking for a diagnoses from these symptoms.

I have tested the following. The motor turns when powered directly form a power supply so it is good. The battery is new and measures 25 volts.

When I first put the battery in with mail switch to off, the tail light came on. I jiggled the left hand brake lever and it goes out. If I pull in either brake the taillight operates properly.

Hub motor wires through axle, or not?

Have a question based on a new electric bicycle product I saw yesterday ...

All the hub motors I've seen had wires exiting through the axle. I've never stopped to question this, it's just the way it's been.

Obviously the wires have to interface with the motor at a spot which is still or else the wires would rotate and break.

What are rules for international flight + Ebike Lifepo4

I am flying to Europe from the US and would like to bring a folding bike powered by a 10ah Lifepo4
china battery. I understand there are some new rules concerning lithium batteries, but the rules
seem to be targeting laptops and tools.
Has anyone flew with a Lifepo4 'brick' , and can offer some advise ?
Thanks!

Looking for Advice on Ecobike electric bikes

I have been doing a lot of research and test riding for about a year now, I want to buy and electric bike, but need some input or advise regarding the bike I think might be the right one for me. The bike I have found I like the best and is in my price range is the Ecobike Elegance 36 model... 36V 10ah li ion battery, aluminum frame, 6 speed, can ride as a regular bike, has pedal assist and throttle only modes. The area I live in has some hills, but only a few that are really steep.

How to derestrict THIS type of electric bike / ped. (someone must know!)

Hello!

I own an electric moped / bike (it is a moped style, however has pedals, which i have removed) and will now not be using it on the road. IT is currently restricted to the legal 16-18 mph ish. However, i have been told it can go faster, and it does appear that way. It accelerates to this speed in about 5 seconds, and up hills it will give another boost of power to keep it at this speed when i am climbing hills.

Heinzmann motor EVG Ebike wiring

How should the heat sensor be wired in my evg ebike? The motor has three leads and apparently one of them is the heat sensor. How does it work and how should i hook it up. I've read about people frying the motors by not hooking them up.

Mirror Turn Signal Combo

I bought a Winkku signal mirror about a week ago from http://www.buybuybicycles.com/. It's a brilliant product [pun intended].  A lot of thinking went into it's design.  I like it.

EVG E-bike

So i recently got a 'free' evg e-bike.

I just one one of the cheapest of the cheap volgood aka mary 24v20ah packs. I couldn't pass it for $200 shipped, even i'd hoped for 36v. I hope that the battery actually ships; other people on the forums have said that when they won low priced auctions the sellers would just refuse to ship. I'll keep y'all posted on that front if anyone cares to know.
