I currently ride a Sun EZ-1 with a electro cycle e4 Mid drive kit and a 20AH 24v Lithium battery. I have been mostly satisfied with this setup but am interested in moving up to a better quality bike and going with the ecospeed product. They are a bit pricy and I would like to hear from others who have them and see if they think they are worth the extra cash. Also I would seek others experience with lithium batteries. I have an ebay battery. Not Ping and I have had some serious voltage drop problems with it after less than a year.

I was riding my xb-600 yesterday when the motor quit working for a couple of seconds, then started up again for a couple of seconds. This continued for the last quarter mile of my trip. Is this a controller, throttle or brake problem?

The local power company in my area has a Tesla and recently put it on exhibition at a local event. I attended and thought I'd share a few pics I took. Since I rode my XB600 to the event I couldn't resist having the XB600 in a couple of shots!

I was riding in a light rain with my lights on and tried using horn. The lights shut off and horn no longer worked. I took almost all of the panels off and tried to find the fuse for the lights which i assumed was the problem but I cannot locate any fuse but the 30amp for the main power. Can anyone tell me where the light/horn fuse is located?

Ultra Motor sells the A2B bicycle. It's a heavy duty electric bicycle, big tires, powerful motor, large battery pack, heavy duty frame, etc. I did a brief test ride with one a while ago and it felt like it could climb mountains, go off road, etc.
They were at Interbike and somehow I neglected to take any pictures. However they had some interesting new stuff to show. And they invited me up to their office to borrow a bike, so I'll do that soon.
They now have four A2B models where there had been one before:-

This is a bike I saw at Interbike 2009 last week. Dahon specializes in folding bicycles and has a whole range of them. This is a new bicycle and doesn't seem to be listed on their website or I'd've made a link to it.
It's called the "Boost" ... 20" wheels ... 19.6 kg total weight ... 250 watt motor and claimed top speed of 25 km/h. The motor is mounted next to the bottom bracket hence can take advantage of all the gearing. The gear setup is 3 front, 3 rear. It's a Lithium-polymer battery pack. The brochure doesn't say how big.

I just bought a ampedbike rear ebike kit.
i guess the kit didnt come with an on /off swtich basically you plug the bullet connectors from the battery pos/neg to the pos/neg or the controller but I get a spark everytime which i hear is normal.
My question is , is it ok to just add an on /off switch inbetween the battery and controller?
also what amperage and do i need a fuse also?
im running a 36 volt sla battery pack thanks or is it not recommended. I dont like the sparking everytime i plus it in

I have a Schwinn Electric Stingray with a fried controller. The unit was made by Ananda Power, and the specs are:
BLDC Driver
Model #EB2420DL/110
SN # 0513 6298
The throttle and hub moter seem fine, so I'm just looking to replace the controller. Any advice would be apprecaigted!
Thanks,
Chaz
