I'm considenring upgrading my Xtreme 508 to an Xtreme 700, but am heisitant to spend the money. My 508 recently quit just short of 1 year and around 1000 miles. Apparently I need a new controller (per tech support). I've also read several reviews that have pointed out many "quality control" issues with the 700. I don't want to spend 1600+ for a bike that's not going to last..anyone have any thoughts? Is the xtreme 700 worh the price?

After almost a year of riding and about 1000 miles I had my first issue with my Extreme 508. When accelerating from a stop, the 30 amp fuse blew leaving me pusing the bike. Afer locating and replacing the fuse the new fuse immediately blew (the key wan't even in the ignition). I removed the battery, replaced the fuse "box" since it had melted and looked for any obvious shorts in the wiring that would have caused the fuse to blow, no luck. Then I put in a new fuse and plugged the battery in just to have the fuse blow again. Any thoughts?
