mod for xb500

Does any 1 know if the shunt mod for the xb500 worked out? Is there any 1 that can update me on this? because I'm about to do it to mine and I would rather be safe than sorry. Thank you all!

So it is possible to do the shunt mod with the xb500? If any 1 has this process with pictures please let me know. I also want to add another battery tell me if this is ok
