With less than $150 US you could make the bike run about 35-40 mph. A 750-800 watts controller cost around $50 and a pcm bms board upgrade ( 60v 30 amp continuous discharge) about same price. If your 48v 40 ah pack uses a 20 Series configuration you won't have but connect three (3)black(neg) wires to the new bms You are set .In fact ,only with a better controller, your XB would gain 10 miles in speed .Not that complex . Very feasible .

If anyone needs parts for the XB-700, I am going to be parting out mine.
The only things not available are the windshield, mirrors, front rim, and left tail light lens.
the reason I'm parting it out instead of fixing it is cause the g@@ d@@@ed company NEVER responds when I call or email about buying replacement parts.
