BionX fitment question

Hello, I have an HPVelotechnik Scorpion fx with the three speed hub option. I have been told that the Bionx will not work with hub gears. Could I use it for one of the front wheels? Thanks

Re: BionX fitment question

The "secret sauce" of the BionX is how it senses torque on the chain and applies proportional assist without requiring throttle use. Although the BionX motor may be able to be mounted on the front wheel, it would become just another throttle-based hub motor setup. In that configuration, it's likely that other vendors could provide a more capable solution for less $$.

Re: BionX fitment question

Simple answer is no you cannot use the BionX as a front hub motor. Look at a front hub system in this case (and it will be cheaper :-D )
