This bike is entered in the "open" class, meaning that it will be sold at auction after the race with proceeds to the team. They're also expected to keep their cost under $20,000 or some similar amount. The idea of the open class is to make it possible for regular folk to compete while at the same time there are superbikes in the race (cough cough Mission Motors cough cough MotoCzyzs)
