Vendor's Battery Replacement Warranties

Hi,

What are vendors battery replacement warranties like?

X-Treme provides a 6 month warranty but they insist that the batteries are shipped back to them (at the customer's expense) before providing new batteries. The new batteries do not reset the 6 month counter (if you replace one or more batteries in the 5 month you have 1 month warranty remaining on all batteries).

What do other vendors do? I'd like to hear some customer experiences in this area.

Thanks,
John H.

Thanks GMan - however I'm more interested in electric vehicle vendors policies. Although BB's warranty doesn't sound like it would help at all for dead batteries used in an EV.

` :?
I believe it's the same as the Battery mfg warranty, since they have to return them to the mfg to get there credit toward replacements.
BTW, My brand new B&B EB12-12 Batteries are probably bad now, I got them locally to avoid a potential shipping cost if I had to return them, but if you read the warranty the 60% statement seems to say they are not bad. Maybe I need to purposely do something to bring them down under 60% then they would be covered?
Well the one good thing is, since I purchased them locally it won't cost me any shipping to return them so they can be checked, there may be other criteria other than voltage used?

I beleive they state on the X Treme sit there is a 6 Month Battery Warranty, so they should replace it if it's under Warranty, and the owner will probally have to pay the shipping and handling both ways. The Operation and Maintenance Instructions seems to say something different but I'm told it's for another model or something correct?
