People with sharp memory may remember that one of my electric bikes last summer suffered a broken fork. It turned out to be an aluminum fork - and I eventually took it over to REI so they could replace it with a steel fork. It took quite awhile to get that worked out and I just got around to, today, putting the electric motor and other stuff back on the bike.
Took it out for a spin
And turns out the motor had gotten mounted backwards.
It was disconsternating to start riding down the road, twist the throttle, hear a loud(ish) sound, and slow to a stop. Then start rolling backwards.
Reminder: Read the directions or else be double extra careful.
