Proposal from German investor group to rescue Fisker Automotive

A German investor group is trying to get approval to buy Fisker Automotive for pennies on the dollar. That is, there was over $1 billion in private investment and almost $200 million in Dept. of Energy loans to Fisker, but the proposal named on a German news site is said to be $25 million.

The idea is to move production of the Karma to the US, presumably in the former-GM plant in Delaware owned by Fisker.

After that's going they'll start up production of some other of Fisker's cars.

I wonder how an "investor group" is going to develop the necessary expertise in car manufacturing.
