YAWN.......another unknowledgable newbie!

Two members kindly replied to my query regarding a battery charger, for which I am grateful.

This prompted me as a newbie to investigate other areas of the Forums, mainly the power systems.

There´s the rub! Being of somewhat senior years and comparatively new to this wonderful world of pollution-free transportation, I quickly become bogged down by some of the observations made by members, e.g., overvolting, amperage, etc.

Without wishing to bore members to death, is there a learner area Forum anywhere, that talks basics, to enable me to pick up information and hopefully prevent senility taking over?

Thanks for any help.

The Frequently Asked Questions (link visible on right column) may be helpful.

Here's the section of the forum you are talking about, but it is not used very much:
EV Basics and Resources

Here's a section of the forum under "Handbooks":
Electrical Circuits Basics

In terms of basics to electricity, this is a very useful online book: Lessons In Electric Circuits

Also, I found this site very helpful: Hyperphysics

For battery information, this is a very in-depth resource (the best I've found so far on the web): http://www.mpoweruk.com/

This is a useful explanation of how motors work: http://lancet.mit.edu/motors/motors3.html
