Hi,
I couldn't seem to access VifV at all yesterday and it seems the frequency of these outages is increasing. Is that so? Or am I imagining it?

The core issue is I lack time to migrate to a new server and along the way get to more up-to-date PHP/MySQL versions. In the meantime I've been playing with server tuning parameters. I'd had it in a state where the server stayed running for a month w/o problem. Then recently I started fiddling with a different parameter, and yesterday realized what you're saying, that it's been less stable after I started on this new parameter. Yesterday I set that parameter back where it had been, and assumably things will become stable again.
