I've been working on a design of a hub motor that is powerful enough for a motorcycle in the under 400 pound range. I just began testing the prototype last week.
I have a thread on Endless Sphere outlining the project and showing test results

This is a picture of the motor on my bike. My custom bike used a standard axle but the production versions
will have a hollow axle and torque arm to interface with a standard motorcycle
There is a lot more information on the endless sphere thread
feel free to ask questions

Looks good! I have an abandoned CB-750 conversion that this would be great for. Let us know how things go!
