vectrix

i have been wondering when the scooter runs out of charge.
if i managed to fit a magnetic motor wi the most powerfull magnets in button size glued on in the boot just have too give it a push the wheel in the boot it would start to spin faster and faster .
wondering what sort of power it would produce .? wonder if its enough to charge the vectrix.????
and probbley have to fit small invertor 2kw would it work
but a tiny one and mabe have small motor as a slave start on it.
you see them on youtube .let me no what you think .kev

magnetic motors as presented are perpetual motion machines (sometimes called over unity devices).
they are a scam, they do not work due to the 3rd law of thermodynamics (despite what you see on youtube)
all energy in = all energy out

yeh. thanks for that .that roughly what i thought. but would love to try to make this wheel any way .kev

from an education perspective, then making it isnt a problem.
not sure how you would, i mean, how do you go about making something you *know* wont work?
you would have to leave physics and mathematics out of it.

have fun with it though,
who knows, you could later turn it into a permanent magnet motor :)

A better question would be "how long can an over-priced scooter company run at a loss?" The word is that Vectrix is all done by end of March...

Angus,

Did you join "V is for Voltage" just to post this OT comment?

Quoting a source would give some credibility to your statement...

hi angus. not too shoure what ya on about !!
why did you join .?

Hi Angus,
I sincerely hope that you are wrong. I purchased a Vectrix in October last year (2008) and also some shares in the company. You need faith. Like it or not Electric Vehicles ARE the way forward.... Luddites repent, the age of oil is fading fast.
