New Green Cycles eBike and LiFePO4 Batt

Hi everybody!

I would like to share with you something that I've been working on for the past year. I've created the "Green Cycles" ebike and battery combination that uses the amped bikes 36v/500w brushless hub motor with a strong 36v+/15ah lifepo4 battery pack. I build and test these in Los Angeles which tends to be full of hills and it handles everything really well.

I want to help spread the word on how ebikes make a viable alternative to cars and I know that I have significantly lowered my stress, increased my health and lowered my costs by replacing several of my trips with my ebike rather than car. It's one of the ways I can help make our world a greener place, one bicycle at a time, and help evolve our car-centric culture.

Please visit the green-cycles site and let me know what you think! I've been doing homework/r&d on this field for the past year nonstop to try to get these products together to be as professional and clean looking (and functioning!) as possible. Your feedback and constructive comments are very appreciated. Thank you. =)

Hey,

I must agree, but then I'm talking about the website itself.
your products look great, I especially love the way the battery is finished, but I wish you had done the same thing with your website.

Nice box on the pingbattery. Somebody is going to plug in an ac device to that outlet though. Is that a 9 continents motor on the bike?

Awww.. well, I made this website by myself completely from scratch, I tried my best, it's definitely a work in progress, but at least it doesn't look as shoddy as some other sites. :) Any tips on what you think needs change?

Hi, The website looks awesome. Specially for someone that made it from scratch. I would only change the forum in to a Blog type page. It might be easier to navigate in the future. We are sure you are going to get much traffic.
About your bike. It looks fine. It seems to have a very high quality finish. I am glad someone in the US is finally building these kind of bikes. We can not let China take all the business. The bike seems a bit high in price until you see the quality of workmanship and design. You get what you pay for.
It might be a good idea to offer the electric kit by itself. Offering the battery is a great idea. We have many of our customers trying to buy the Lithium batteries by themselves. Offering the battery, controller and motor as a Kit might allow someone to build their bike to their own specifications.
About the looks, can you install the battery in front of the rider as it was a Gas tank on Motorcycles? Maybe even inside the frame. That might help freeing some room in the rear rack for something else. Just a thought.
We know where to send people for the lithium battery.

We wish you all the success in the world.

Al

Yeah I include a warning letting them know it's not AC power and a cover for it.

Is that a 9 continents motor on the bike?

Our bikes use the Amped Bikes kit as I work well with Danny (the owner) and he is the one who has poured great efforts to R&D of his kit. Nine-continents has basically copied the Amped Bikes Kit. The hub motors from either company are very similar at the moment.

In response to the blatant copy-catting, Amped Bikes is upgrading their kits to create a new standard. They will have better connectors, an even stronger rim, a superior spoking method and a programmable speed controller.

Just trying to help;-)

But yes, look at your battery housing, it looks classy and neat!
Try to make your website like that.

The key to a succesfull commercial website is using:
-a simple layout
-a clear font (like Arial)
-not too much color or rubbish (but don't make it too sober either)
-clear pictures
Choose a style and stick with it throughout every page
Put logical buttons left or up, so that everybody finds them with their eyes closed

In fact, you did most of that (and if you had no experience, congrats!), but the black background/ white text makes it look a bit cheap. Use a more professional font.
The pictures you use are perfect. Just don't repeat the one on the front page. You can, however, use different pictures in the same way, but I'd use 1 big picture.

look at this website I designed (among others), you will understand the difference: http://www.zeb.be/home.html

Think of your website as your own face, it's the first thing most people will see.
