ebike 24V
Submitted by lornadoone on Mon, 06/15/2009 - 16:55
I am the owner of two 24 V ebikes. We have not used them over the last three years and have just pulled them out to get them ready for the summer. Do you know of any options for battery replacements than the lead acid batteries. They are so heavy and I can't imagine that there isn't a better solution for this now. If you can give me any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Lorna Doone

Re: ebike 24V
That depends on the bike. What kind of bike is it? Is the charger integrated with the bike or separate? If the charger is separate then it should be merely a question of finding a 24v battery that will fit in the allotted space. You can read plenty on this forum about the trade-offs between Lithium-Ion and NiMH.

ebikes.ca has a good intro to batteries for bikes.
