Are all of the brushes in Schwinn/ Currie Scooters universal?

I have a stealth 1000, which i recently had apart, and i accidentally broke all of the brushes. I had a Schwinn s350 laying around, so i decided to use the brushes out of that one to replace the broken ones. Everything seems to be fine, and the speed, power, and mileage are still the same, but i am wondering if this will shorten the lifespan of the motor. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
