Interesting temp sensor reading

Further proof that my frozen vectrix does not like the cold

It was -3c when I took the photo

Did the "engine off left brake" to check the battery status - look closely ;)

Re: Interesting temp sensor reading

I've seen this before on my Vectrix about a year ago!

I reported to Vectrix technical, but it just turned out to be a software bug - luckily I have never seen the fault reappear.

Re: Interesting temp sensor reading

This is just a SW thing. The temp sensors are just thermistors that have been calibrated for a certain temp range. When the temp falls below this range a default value is generated. The value isnt really 60, its a code which when passed thru the look up table that translates numbers into display characters just happens to create the pattern "60") It was never expected the bikes would be used at such low temps. If you see "60"....its cold!

I thought it might be something like being outside the operation range of the temp sensors hehe

The bike has not been run for a few days, I was going to take it round the block a couple of times just to give the battery some excercise. Would it be bad to do so for it in these temps?
