Came across this article about Tony Helmholdt a.k.a. http://visforvoltage.org/user/itchypalm36 who has built a few electric motorcycles. He showed up at the TTXGP event last year at the Mid-Ohio race track, and impressed a bunch of people with his motorcycle conversion skills. According to the following article he's now working for Tesla Motors in their Chicago service department.
