I had a chance to speak with Richard Hatfield by phone last night - their bike is on the salt flats this week going for a speed record. Yesterday, on their first time on the salt, they set an AMA/FIM certified land speed record for electric motorcycles. That's with the bike still configured for road racing, and only changing the rear sprocket.
It's a preliminary report - more will be known in a couple days.
